1 baguette, sliced ½ inch thick

4 Roma tomatoes, diced

¼ cup fresh basil, chiffonade

2 garlic cloves (1 minced, 1 whole for rubbing)

2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

1 tsp balsamic vinegar

Salt & pepper to taste

Toast baguette slices under the broiler 1–2 min per side until golden.

Rub one side of each toast with the whole garlic clove.

Combine tomatoes, basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.

Spoon tomato mixture onto each toast just before serving.

Drizzle with extra olive oil and serve immediately.
