    Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add oil and water gradually. Knead 5 min until smooth.

    Divide into 6 balls. Rest 15 min covered.

    Roll each ball thin on a floured surface. Brush lightly with oil and fold into quarters, then roll out again.

    Cook on a hot tawa or skillet 1–2 min per side, pressing with a cloth to encourage puffing.

    Brush with butter and keep warm in a towel. Serve with curry, dal, or stew.
